Listing InfoPOSITION SUMMARYThis position is responsible for providing functional support for the Oracle Project module by formulating requirements and design specifications to support full life cycle application management, including requirements gathering, functional design, development and configurations, testing and deployment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS Will Include The Following
  • Develop and lead the Oracle Project team to include resource planning, scheduling and ensuring constant availability of skilled resources to support the user community.
  • Provide production support by diagnosing exceptions and handling issues within the Oracle eBusiness Suite.
  • Direct the development and maintenance of best practice methodologies, technology process documentation and procedures and ensure that the work performed is conducted in accordance with that documentation.
  • Coordinate with APEX Program Management Office (PMO), Business Process teams, Internal Audit and Internal Controls organizations to ensure compliance with the Companys policies and procedures within the IT service delivery process.
  • Facilitate discussions with potential application owners, second level resolvers, Business Unit teams and APEX teams to establish business requirements for ERP.
  • Lead testing on new Oracle processes being assessed and provide recommendations that lead to the execution of requirements.  Identify sources or errors and recommend best process and/or solution(s) for the business.
  • Liaise and coordinate with business process owners and other impacted stakeholders on new or revised functionality requests to understand the business purpose of such requests and propose solutions within the application area with a focus on minimizing system customizations.
  • Evaluate requests; determine feasibilities and priorities of solutions.  Facilitate agreement on the solution.
  • Manage the system integrators or contractor's task and track and review deliverables.
  • Participate in selection and contracting of consultants who assist with assigned projects, ensuring that deliverables are appropriately defined and measurable.
  • Establish and communicate common goals and direction for the team.
  • Ensures system changes are successfully implemented timely, within budget, and in compliance with corporate and Project APEX goals and standards and monitored to increase efficiency.
  • Manage activities between users, IT development staff and third party consultants and contractors, while keeping management informed of progress, benefits, achievements and risks.  Provide strategic and technical input on direction for solutions.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree required (prefer degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Should have at least 7 years of experience in Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) implementation, project management and configuring Oracle project modules.
  • EIS experience is preferred.
  • Must have functional knowledge of the following modules: Oracle Time & Labor (OTL), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Supply Chain (iProc, iSupplier, Req), General Ledger (GL) and Intercompany (AGIS)
  • Have knowledge of Accounting & Financial processes and Software Release Management principles and methodology.
  • Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
  • Must have excellent PC skills to include all MS Office products.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate in a professional manner with staff, management, customers and vendors.  
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while managing time in a proficient and effective manner.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and be able to make complex decisions while keeping the departments and Companys philosophies and goals in mind.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull and use repetitive wrist and hand movements.  The employee may be required to lift and/or move objects of up to 25 pounds.  Hearing, seeing ability of rapid mental coordination.  It is required to be mentally alert for entire regular shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position may work in various locations - both in the U.S. and internationally. Some locations may be subject to extreme temperatures, hostile environments, civil unrest, etc. Also, travel to and from work location may require extended layovers in unfamiliar locations. Potential for exposure to temperature changes, wetness, confined spaces, chemicals, grease and oil, working with ladder/scaffolds, working with hands in water, and working alone. Parker Drilling will supply adequate training and equipment to meet the functions of the job.
