Based in Miami, at the organisations headquarters, this exciting position has been created due to growth of this worldwide business. The role is mainly to manage the day to day vessel operations and budget maintainance for systems reliability and efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesSolid knowledge of marine technical and regulatory compliance. Sound budgeting skills to manage technical budget for assigned vessels. Extensive technical know-how. Organizational skills to coordinate multiple ship activities simultaneously. Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team based environment. Good leadership and effective management skills. Excellent communication and follow-up skills for frequent interactions with both Shipboard and Shoreside staff. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Main Duties
Essential Functions
- Control and monitor execution of activities connected with maintenance, repairs, surveys and certificate requirements, conversion, modification and dry dockings of vessels. Work closely with onboard and shoreside management to ensure clearance of repairs, reported deficiencies, damages and non-conformities with the support of assigned project manager and company field specialists.
- Inspect the vessels of often as necessary and report on general machinery space conditions, repairs and maintenance, crew performance, safety, environmental protection and any required actions.
- Monitor full implementation of the electronic Planned Maintenance System onboard and work with various departments and teams to ensure completed documentation of vessel equipment and drawings.
- Monitor documentation and certificates. Schedule safety surveys including USCG inspections and maintenance/repair interventions. Communicate relevant technical updates, information and new regulations to appropriate shipside management.
- Plan and prepare dry-dock specifications, following overall vessel repair and maintenance requirements and all statutory inspection criteria.
- Verify and approve requisitions for spares, services and consumables and materials. Cooperate with Purchasing Department in evaluation of suppliers, vendors and product proposals.
- Provide VP Compliance, Environmental & Occupational Safety, VP Technical Operations, Director Technical Operations and Master and Environmental Officer with any information received during the course of ordinary duties relating to environmental compliance issues and incidents.
- Perform other job related functions as assigned.
- Provide technical shipboard senior management performance evaluation.
- Plan along with manning department technical personnel schedule.
- Supervise tasks assigned to asset managers of specific fields.
