Scope of Position: Improve the conversion rate of World Vision U.S. website visitors into donors by overseeing statistic-driven optimization efforts including A/B/n and multivariate testing, offer development, and site performance improvement strategies designed to measure and assess the website visitor experience. Recommend enhancements to World Vision's website based on findings, with the goal of transforming the maximum number of website visitors into donors/supporters. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.
Responsibilities:
- Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives. Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly Chapel services, and regular prayer.
- Design and execute testing strategies for home pages, content pages, offer pages, and visitor paths designed to measure and increase the percentage of visitors who take desired actions upon visiting the World Vision web properties.
- Determine relevant metrics, establish goals, and create appropriate reports to track progress and evaluate program results, analyze effectiveness, and modify strategies based upon results as needed, coordinate efforts and gather pertinent information.
- Use statistical analysis of relevant metrics to identify opportunities for new projects to improve overall site conversion rate.
- Create and manage site optimization projects and budgets. Develop business cases at a strategic and tactical level to ensure the initiative is successfully launched, nurtured and matured.
- Improve conversion rates on Worldvision.org by working with cross functional partners to translate insights about visitors and visitor segments into a compelling experience on the web.
- Recommend improvements regarding feature/content, product naming, positioning, offer and customer messaging.
- Provide technical expertise cross-functionally and across the organization to manage and optimize marketing efforts on an assignment basis.
- Participate in the development of annual budget and strategic plans; produce department itemized budgets, as well as growth initiative projections.
- Think "outside the box" to create new marketing initiatives/offers that will research as diverse donor/potential donor base.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
- Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). Online marketing work experience; 3-5 years. At least one year of direct response marketing and/or fundraising work experience desired.
- Deep understanding of conversion/persuasion best practices and the ability to apply that knowledge to client projects.
- Eager to take end-to-end ownership with little supervision
- Superior attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
