With more than 10,000 employees globally, the Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) Apps/BPO/Consulting/Infrastructure Services team is one of the largest healthcare services providers in the world.  We address almost every player in the healthcare world: Hospitals, Health Systems, Physicians, Payers, Pharma & Medical Devices Manufacturing & Retail pharmacies.  Our goal is to provide better information for these clients that will lead to better health!

Our vision is to grow the business in the Applications, BPO, Infrastructure Services & Consulting space globally across all of Dell's existing accounts in the HCLS space, and open new logo's for Dell by working in close collaboration with other Dell sales teams.


Role Overview
The Healthcare Business Development Consultant is a critical role responsible for driving the new deal process/cycle within Dell Services Healthcare to include IT/BPO/Consulting/Infrastructure solutions.  This individual will operate in a matrix organization of healthcare and technology professionals and partner with key stakeholders.  They will need to build relationships within Dell’s Service Account Executive, Client Executives, and related healthcare and solution subject matters experts, as well as CXOs customers within the Healthcare community.


Responsibilities
  • Analyzes market data to identify trends/opportunities, develops strategic direction from market information and creates compelling market analysis presentations
  • Lead business development opportunities criteria to qualify deals; conduct initial assessment if a deal is a "go/no go"; and perform periodic internal checkpoints (financial, legal, contracts, solution development, etc.) to guide deal through review process
  • Examine business opportunities, assesses potential markets, and develops projects for use in new marketing initiatives
  • Provide financial analyses, long-range forecasting and analysis studies associated with potential alliances/partnerships. Evaluates program trends and provides analysis and recommendations to leadership based on the sales impact of the solution(s) in the marketplace and the overall success
  • Focus on support initiatives in the acquisition of new customers as well as enhancement of business within existing customers
  • Educates prospective customers on the merits of the company’s range of services skills and expertise
  • Customarily and regularly engaged at partner (C-Level) and/or onsite at customer facilities
  • Transfers knowledge to sales teams to improve their sales skills around a specific solution set or within a healthcare vertical
  • Drive new business TCV of $25-50M plus
  • Build and maintain an effective partnership with C-suite customers, decision-makers and primary influencers in the client organization
  • Lead and/or Implement the deal governance process in strategy development, price-to-win, bid execution, and delivery excellence
  • Gather, lead, drive internal approvals for all deals as established by the deal governance board
  • Establish ongoing governance to ensure continued success of the deal and the relationship, and simultaneously maintain a solid business control posture
  • Leads business development opportunities from qualify to close across all aspects of new opportunities
  • Requirements
  • 10+ years of Information Technology/Consulting experience, specifically 7+ years new business development within Healthcare (Payer, Provider, and/or Life Sciences) Services
  • Previous experience in Sales or Large Account Management in the IT / BPO Services Industry
  • C-suite relationship building & management
  • Must have consultative selling skills and be able to demonstrate experience in working with CXOs across Healthcare and Life Sciences Industry
  • Self-driven, passionate, senior Business Development Executive with extensive experience working in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Value proposition development & strong business acumen
  • P&L management experience in a services environment
  • Contract negotiation skills and excellent communication/presentation skills
